Help Protect the Elderly in Your Family….

Good morning all!

I’m sure the lot of you are preparing for the big Holiday coming up! Thanksgiving has always been one of my very favorite holidays. The family, the food, and the chance to remind ourselves of what we are truly thankful for in our lives. Although I believe one should remember what they are thankful for daily, Thanksgiving is a great day to show others just how much they mean to you. When it comes to our families, we tend to not show our appreciation enough. A news article came out early this week, and it caught my eye. If you have parents or grandparents that are elderly, do they have the safety and security that they deserve? It seems that these days criminals and scammers target the elderly. Whether it be trying to con them out of their retirement savings, or breaking into their homes to steal their belongings, they look at the elderly as an easy target. One of my family members had somebody call them saying that I was in jail and needed money for bail. They gave her an obscene number that needed to be paid in order for me to be released from jail….thank goodness she knew better than to believe this and quickly hung up the phone. She then contacted myself and my parents to fill them in on what happened.

It’s a scary world out there, and we need to protect those that we love. You can offer at least some reassurance by letting those in your family know about Safe Haven Private Vaults. You could help them get a vault set up to store their precious and valuable belongings. It may not stop the cruelty of people out there, but it WILL give them some security knowing that these things are safe and sound and cannot be taken from them. Thieves disgust me, especially when targeting a person that would have a hard time defending themselves. The woman in this article was brave and put up fight to protect what was hers. He may have gotten away with a few of her personal belongings, but if she wouldn’t have fought back, it could have been much worse.
